SALON WALL – GROUP EXHIBITION

Plug Gallery invites artists to participate in Salon Wall, a group exhibition that will be held in our front space gallery area within Agnes Arts. The goal of the exhibition is to fill the wall salon-style with as many works as we can fit. The final result will form a collaborative quilt of artworks, more art than wall. This show seeks to continue our mission of providing platform and opportunity in a non-commercial setting – we welcome applications from all artists, especially those who are emerging or underrepresented.
Artists will retain 100% of their proceeds from sales.
Listing art for sale is not required.
Theme: Artworks will be displayed salon-style, but the subject matter does not need to fit within any theme.
Not a requirement, but ornate and unique frames would look great in this show!

ELIGIBILITY
- This call is open to artists based in the U.S.
- Art must be original and created within the last 5 years.
- Artists outside of the Kansas City Area may ship artwork, but are responsible for all shipping costs for delivery and return.
- Artists are required to complete the Submission Form linked below and sign the Letter of Agreement.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
- Artwork must arrive dry and ready to hang.
- Art must be able to hang on a wall.
- Weight: less than 40 lbs.
- Dimensions: Up to 36” x 36” – larger artworks (36” x 36” and up) may be submitted, but please keep in mind the collaborative nature of the exhibition.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
- Artists understand that due to the nature of the show’s theme, artwork may be exhibited higher or lower than traditional viewing height. (up near ceiling, or low to the ground)
- The gallery wall is directly facing the front window of our space. Please keep this in mind if your artwork is particularly sensitive to sunlight.
SUBMISSION FEE – $10 SLIDING
This open call is part of PLUG’s fundraising efforts for 2026. Your submission fee goes towards operational costs that allow Plug to continue running. Submission fees are non-refundable. For this Open Call, Plug is able to grant a limited number of submission fee waivers to local artists experiencing financial hardship. Inquire by email.
